Raymond Joseph Alff

 
 

Raymond Joseph Alff, 82, was born February 20, 1942, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was the son of Edward Henry and Sylvia Lou (Hayes) Alff. He passed away at his home in Elkland, August 22, 2024.

He was an over the road truck driver for Elliott Trucking in Iowa, plant operator at Willard Asphalt in Lebanon and a heavy equipment mechanic at Aspro Inc., in Waterloo, Iowa. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, trapping, and playing cards. He was a NASCAR fan he especially liked Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson. He collected watch fobs, hats, and guns. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and family get-togethers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wanda (Cooley) Alff; a sister, Betty Gray; a brother, Garland; a brother in-law Don Pulsifer and a great granddaughter, Olivia Alff.

He is survived by the joy of his life Karen Alff, sister Nancy Pulsifer, brother in-law Weston Gray, Lloyd Chilcutt and Mardell Alff mother of his three sons and one daughter, Ron Alff and wife Samantha, Tom Alff, Denny Alff and wife Connie, Tracy and husband Chris Evers;  grandchildren, Joey Alff, Tommy Alff, Amanda Schepers, Kyle Alff, Stephanie Alff, Travis Edwards, Curtis Alff, Darrick Alff, Makayla Alff, Nathan Evers, Caitlynn Evers; great grandchildren, Ryan Schepers, Trey Alff, Jayden Alff, Nolan Schepers, Makenzie Alff, Wyatt Alff, Mia Alff, Ariel Alff, Bella Alff, Klara Edwards, Brantley Edwards, Brynlee Edwards, Avery Evers, Oaklynn Bozner, Vanessa Hudson, Ellie Bozner, Serenity Dickerson and Waylon Evers.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, Missouri. Interment will be in Mission Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., until service time Wednesday.
