Alice June Dishman, age 85 of Strafford, Missouri would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call on January 15, 2018, the kind of offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a long awaited reunion with family and many friends. Job security is exactly 110 percent. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be playing cards, square dancing with George, gardening and eating Snickers candy bars until her heart’s content. Gospel music, laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. She left detailed instructions for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed.

Alice is survived by two children: Rex (Pam) Dishman, and Sam (Andrea) Dishman. Four grandchildren: Charlotte (Kirby) Phipps, Wes (Daynah) Dishman, Monica Dishman, and Levi Dishman. Three great-grandchildren: Makenna and Logan Phipps, Scarlett Dishman and baby brother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Tom Dishman; her parents, Ernie and Lorene Cox.

Services will be held at Fraker Funeral Home in Marshfield, MO. Visitation will be Thursday, January 18 from 6pm-7pm and the funeral service will be held Friday, January 19 at 1pm. Burial to follow at the Dishman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Strafford Senior Center.
