Anita Ann Branson of Fordland, Missouri passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Wednesday March 30, 2022. She was born on June 23, 1945, in Catron, Missouri to her parents, the late Minnalee Lewis (Fred Lewis) and Oscar Hunter (Laura Hunter).

Anita is survived by; her sister Paulette and Edward Riddle as well as her brother Oscar (Butch) and Penny Hunter; her children, Zane and Mary Hunter, Korina and David Branson-Jones, and Lana and Shann Fuchs.

Anita’s greatest joy in life were her six grandchildren: Zane Hunter, Izabella Hunter, Ethan Fuchs, Logan Fuchs, Hattie Fuchs, and Edith Jones.

Anita’s life was an extraordinary one. She worked tirelessly in the field of quality control at various manufacturing plants. Anita’s above average leadership skill and attention to detail allowed her to be successful in her career. It also took her and her children to many exciting locations where she worked, and they lived. These places included: small town Kentucky, Los Angeles California, as well as Puerto Rico. Finally, Anita settled back near her family in Fordland. She worked the last part of her career assisting her brother and sister-in-law in the operation of their business Hunter Modular. Anita was devoted to her children and grandchildren and sought adventure whenever she could.

Anita was an important matriarchal figure for her entire family. Siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins alike benefitted from her natural ability to be a mother. She never tired of talking things through with anyone that needed her. She was known for her extraordinary taste in home décor, cultural experience, cooking, and landscaping. She just had a way of making everyone feel special to her. Anita will be missed dearly by the family that loved her so much.

Memorial services will be Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
