Dr. Johnie Charles Brown

Dr. Johnie Charles Brown, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, was born on April 8, 1953, in Washington, Missouri, to John and Fannie Lou (Peak) Brown. He departed this life on November 13, 2024, in Baxter Hospice House, Mountain Home, Arkansas. 

He had worked as a PHD research scientist & chemist at several universities and also worked for the government at a nuclear research facility.

Johnie was preceded in death by his father John Brown; his brother, Eddie Brown; and his nephew, Josh Brown.

Johnie is survived by his mother, Fannie Lou Brown, Long Lane; his brother, Don Brown and wife Linda, Marshfield; three sisters, Becky Johnson, Springfield, Jennie Haygood and husband Jim, Long Lane, and Dollie Omestead, Long Lane; his former wife, Carolyn Brown, Madison, Wisconsin, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2024, at the Elkland Independent Methodist Church, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow in Bass Chapel Cemetery.
