Josh Carrington Brown

Josh Carrington Brown, Marshfield, was born February 3, 1977, to Don and Linda (Ketterman) Brown in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. He departed this life on July 28, 2024, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 47.

Josh was a giving person who always helped others. He loved his family, and especially enjoyed spending time with his boys. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle, farming and working in the hay field, hunting, guns, making and reloading bullets. Josh was a telephone technician for Brown Telephone. He had served in the United States Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by both of his grandfathers, John Brown and John Ketterman; and his father-in-law, Danny Letterman.

Josh is survived by his wife, Alta (Letterman) Brown, of the home; three children, John Bailey Brown, Marshfield, Taylor Steele, St. Louis, and Kayden Hyder, Marshfield; his granddaughter, Roslyn Eloise Steele; his parents, Don and Linda Brown, Marshfield; mother-in-law, Vickie Letterman, Marshfield; his brother, Eddie Brown and Megan, O’Fallon, IL; his sister, Dawnielle Newman and Dustin, Ozark; his grandmothers, Fanny Lou Brown, Mountain Home, AR, and Elfriede Greenwood, Joplin; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Josh Brown will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 5, 2024, at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, with interment following in Bass Chapel Cemetery, Strafford. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 4, from 2-4 p.m. in the funeral home.
