Ruth Maxine Burkey

Ruth Maxine Burkey, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was born July 24, 1924, to Leslie and Grace (Zimmerman) Frankfurt in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She departed this life March 12, 2024, at the age of 99 years.

Ruth and her husband worked maintenance at Sho-Me Power for many years. She was a wonderful mother and will be missed by all her loving family and friends. She had a very full life with many good memories of growing up. She had been married for 63 years to her wonderful husband. She loved collecting old post cards and antiques.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard Burkey; one sister, Lois Thompson; and one brother, Dean Frankfurt.

She is survived by her children, Susan Stone of Oklahoma City, Steven Burkey of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.

A private family graveside will be in Marshfield Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, Missouri.
