Gary R. Burr

Gary Ralph Burr, son of Ralph and Rada (Lawson) Burr, was born October 28, 1944 in Fordland, MO. He passed away at 10:35 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2025 (the day before Gary and Delores’ 61st wedding anniversary) at his home in Springfield at the age of 80.

Gary was a longtime Baptist minister in the Webster County area and retired from Burlington Northern Railroad.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Delores in 2024; one brother, Jim Burr; one sister and her husband, Barbara and Jack Burks; and a great-grandson, Noah Lee Goodale.

He is survived by two children, Shelley Denise Burr of Ozark, Donna Jean Allen of Willard; three grandchildren, Kaelyn Paige Woody and Jacob, Dakota Garrett Allen, Madison Nicole Moss; five great grandchildren, Hana Marie Moss, Nolan Reece Moss, Josie Dove Woody, Stevie Wren Woody and Nash LeeRoy Goodale; one brother-in-law and his wife, Jackie Johns and Judy of Marshfield; one sister-in-law, Cynthia Burr, Joplin; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025 in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield. Interment will follow at Fordland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time Thursday in the funeral home.
