Christopher Hopkins
.
Christopher Allen Hopkins, 41, was born December 25, 1975, in Fredricktown, MO. He passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017.
Chris was like a big kid, always joking and teasing, our goof ball and black sheep. Once, he said, “I don’t act this way for myself, I do it for everyone else. I don’t want to make a fool of myself, I want to see them happy and laugh.” He treasured every moment he spent with his family. We were his greatest happiness, his tragic love story, his strength, the ones who broke his heart and lifted him up, we were his everything. He said, “Don’t be sad for me, just get everyone together raise a glass and have a party.”
Christopher is survived by his mother, Pam Lloyd, Poplar Bluff, MO; his father, Robert Hopkins and his wife Rosa, Marshfield, MO; three brothers, Timmy Hopkins, Little Rock, AR, Dustin Lloyd and Aspen, Stringtown, OK, and Fordon James, Canada; three sisters, Aimee Hopkins and Dale Reetz, Poplar Bluff, MO, Anna Macias and Sergio, Marshfield, MO, and Melissa Domangue and Barry, Napoleonville, LA.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.
“Refusing to grow is like refusing to accept your limitations. That’s why I think we’ll never grow up.” Quote by Robert Smith, lead singer of The Cure.
