Vanessa Marie Ragsdale Medlin-Copes
Vanessa Marie Ragsdale Medlin Copes, daughter of Leo and Rita (Burks) Ragsdale, was born March 17, 1980 in Springfield, MO. She passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the age of 41.
Vanessa was a graduate of Marshfield High School. She worked for 14 years at 1st Kid’s Preschool and was currently a secretary for the Webster County Clerks office. She was a member of Northview First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rita.
Survivors include her fiance’, Brent Copes; her children, Bethanie Medlin and Ryan Medlin, both of Marshfield; her father, Leo Ragsdale, Marshfield; two brothers, Charley Ragsdale, Springfield, and Jeff Ragsdale and his wife Sharon, Marshfield; one sister, Kimberly Cottrell and her husband Donald, Marshfield; her nieces and nephews, Ryland Cottrell, Rosalie Cottrell, Alie Ragsdale and Tyler Herrera; and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time Saturday in the funeral home.
