Dan Halcum Sullivan was born on August 9th, 1922 in Lonoke, AR to parents Hosea and Cora Sullivan. He departed this life on Friday, August 31st, 2018.

On February 10, 1945 Dan married the love of his life, Gwen Dickerson. Gwen and Dan met while Dan was stationed in London, England during World War II with the Army Air Corps. They were married in the Church of England at Edmonton, England.

Dan was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Gwen; his siblings, Jewell Moore, Ruby Moore, Helen Stucky, Dale Sullivan, Jr. Sullivan, and Herbert Sullivan.

Dan and Gwen have five children and spouses: Danette Day and the late Leland Day, David and Carol Sullivan, Terri and Rick Huffman, Christine and Bob Hughes, and Linda and Mike West. Grandchildren and spouses are: David and Robie Sullivan, Eric Day, Angie and Mike Wilson, Lindsey and Jesse Baedke, Ryan and Tara Huffman, Adam Sullivan, Jessica and Mike Pena, Ashleigh Hughes, and Lauren Hughes. Great grandchildren are: Ben Sullivan, Emma Sullivan, Jayce and Noah Baedke, Brodyn Halcum Day, Avery and Elise Pena, and Amelia and Aubrey Huffman.

Dan attended the University of Arkansas where he acquired degrees in Math, Science and Administration. He was an educator in various schools in Missouri. He then became a Methodist Minister and served many churches in the state, including the United Methodist Church of Marshfield. Dan was active in the Ministerial Alliance and also was instrumental in starting the OATS program in various communities. He was an avid baseball fan and loved watching the Kansas City Royals and St. Louis Cardinals on T.V.

Graveside services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church Choir.
