Rev. Dean Burks

Rev. Dean Burks, son of  Virgil Burks and Sarah (Bryant) Burks, was born December 11, 1932 in Northview, MO. He passed away at 3:11 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2018 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 85.

Rev. Burks was the long time pastor at Northview First Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Custom Trailers in Springfield as a welder.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jeanette; son-in-law, Jack Kensinger; two brothers, Jack and Doyle Burks; and two sisters, Rebecca Flood and Laverne McDonald.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Kensinger and Deana Rozell, Marshfield; one son, Craig Burks, Kansas City; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

 Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield. Interment will follow in the Welch Cemetery, Northview.
