Michael Lee Dinwiddie

Michael Lee Dinwiddie entered into the presence of His Lord Jesus, whom he trusted and served from his youth, on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 12:58 p.m. at his home. His loving wife, son Ryan, brother and sister-in-law Bob and Ann were at his side.

Michael was born December 18, 1944 to Jesse Oral Dinwiddie and Reba Mae Barker the 5th of 15 children. His father Jess was killed in a timber accident in 1960 when Michael was 15. He then quit school to help provide for his mother and younger siblings.

April 22, 1967 he married the love of his life, Jane Cook. They were blessed to spend 55 years together. To this union 2 children were born, Jennifer Lea in 1968 and Ryan Michael in 1980.

Preceding Michael in death were his daughter, Jennifer Hawkins, granddaughter, Sasha Payne, his parents Jess and Mae, brothers, Darrell, Donnie and Jim.

Surviving Michael are his wife Jane of the home, son Ryan of Lebanon, MO, granddaughter Jana Jemes (Husband Joshua), Grovespring, MO, Jana’s father, Brett Hawkins, Marshfield, MO, Sasha’s husband Andrew Payne, Lebanon, MO. Also surviving are 4 great grandchildren, Alexzander and Titus Payne, Jennifer and Jason Jemes.

Also surviving are brothers Bill, David, Dennis and Danny, sisters, Shirley, Stella, Peggy, Judy, Jean, Anna and Virginia; many relatives, friends and his church at Osage Baptist will miss his presence. He served Osage Baptist as a faithful deacon until his illness kept him home.

Michael was a hard worker all his life; spending 40 plus years at Hutchen’s Industry. He became part of the maintenance department for several years.

He was always willing to help friends and family with remodeling projects, mechanical problems and electrical puzzles, etc. If you needed something fixed, the solution was “Ask Michael, he can fix anything.” One couple call their little farm home “the house that Mike built.”

Michael will be remembered as a man who loved his Lord and served him faithfully.
