Evelyn Elaine Clouse

Evelyn Elaine Akin Clouse was born June 14, 1936 to Emil Floyd and Elva Faye (West) Gipson in Queen City, Missouri and passed away on May 21, 2018 in Marshfield, Missouri.

Elaine first came to Marshfield, Missouri in 1958 for 16 months and returned in 1970 to make it her life's home.  Her life was devoted to caregiving of her children -- and later grandchildren -- and service to the community always looking to the needs of others from young to old before herself.  She had much love and spoke often of her God and Savior, His Word and Gospel Music.

Elaine was preceded in death by son Michael Eric Akin, her husband Larry Clouse, her brother, Floyd Gipson, and  her parents.  She is survived by son Brian David Akin and his wife Janice of Springfield, Missouri; daughters Angela Young with her husband Chris Barr of Myrtle, Missouri and Sherry Lynn with her husband Keith Steward of Marshfield, MO; three grandchildren, Travis Michael Akin and Jordan Tyler Akin of Springfield, and Madison Paige Steward of Marshfield, Missouri; and cousin Victor Lavon West of Rockford, Illinois.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, May 24 in Fraker Funeral Home, 1131 State Hwy A., Marshfield, Missouri 65706.  Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 25 at Marshfield Cemetery, 627 S. White Oak Rd, Marshfield, MO 65706.
