James F. Foster, Sr.

James Frederick Foster, Sr., Marshfield, was born December 27, 1940 in Dexter, MO to Glen and Lena (Mabuck) Foster. He departed this life on October 23, 2022 in his home at the age of 81.

James had a cabin at Pomme De Terre lake, where he lived for several years. He enjoyed fishing, especially for crappie, from his pontoon boat. He had been the owner/operator of Foster’s Appliance Store in Marshfield, and later had a mowing business. He was known for drinking Diet Coke. James was of the Baptist faith.

James was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Glen Foster.

He is survived by his children, Kim Myers, Midway, UT, J.F. Foster, II (Cassi), Kansas City, MO, and Tony Foster (Terri), Marshfield; his brother, Paul Foster (Lee) Knoxville, TN; twelve grandchildren, Alex Coffman, Sami Marrder, Sydney Meyers, Jimmy Foster, III, Jason Foster, Blythe Foster, Johnny Foster, Dash Foster, Grayson Foster, Garrison Foster, Darby Foster, Delaney Foster; six great-grandchildren, Macyn Foster, Jay Foster, Soren Foster, Case Foster, Grady Foster, and Max Marrder.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
