Betty Jo George

Betty Jo George, daughter of Shafter Ellis and Martha (Calvin) Ellis was born February 20, 1933 near Marshfield, MO. She passed away at 12:55 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 in her home at the age of 88.

Betty was a homemaker and school teacher. She and her husband Gene owned and operated a dairy farm and she was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gene; and two sisters, Alma Toussaint and LaVern Pyatt.

Survivors include her son and his wife, Mike and Jan George, Marshfield; one granddaughter, Michala Hackler, Clarksville, TN; a special niece, Wanda Jo Peabody, Springfield; her long time friend, Betty Nichols, Marshfield; and several other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hartville, under the care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.
