Marla Denise Graves
Marla Denise Graves, Marshfield, was born April 10, 1955 in Wellsville, MO to Gene and Ruby (Oden) Parsons. She departed this life on July 13, 2021, surrounded by loved ones, Dale, Missy and Bobby, in Cox South Hospital at the age of 66.
Marla had worked as a cosmetologist. She was a member of Marshfield Church of Christ.
She passed away far too soon and will be greatly missed. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and Miss May, her very spoiled stubborn cat. She also enjoyed playing cards with the ladies, shopping at Kohl’s and baking cookies for those she loved. Marla would give you the shirt off her back if she could and also took food and drinks to the homeless. After retirement she would still cut hair for the members of our church and also the family, and expected nothing in return.
She spoiled her husband and they would have celebrated 45 years of marriage on January 8th. They enjoyed long summer rides together on their side by side. She didn't have a selfish bone in her body, was extremely giving, but boy was she stubborn. She will be so missed and our cup runneth over.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law, Deborah Parsons; and her grandparents, Jim and Alma Oden.
Marla is survived by her husband, Dale Graves, of the home; her daughter, Missy Lewis and husband, Bobby, Marshfield; one grandson, Cody Lewis, Marshfield; and one brother, Jim Parsons, Wellsville, MO.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Marshfield Church of Christ, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
