Sue Carol Grigsby

Sue Carol Grigsby, Marshfield, was born October 11, 1937 in Grassland, TX to James and Ninabelle (Hoover) Chapman. She departed this life on January 15, 2022 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 84.

Sue was very active in her church in West Plains. She could sit for hours and play bridge. She loved cooking, baking, and knitting for her grandchildren. Sue was a very creative person. She loved her family and making friends. She had worked in health information management.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Edward Grigsby, Jr; and her brother, Jimmy Dale Chapman.

Sue is survived by three children, Dr. James Lee Grigsby and wife, Julie, Alamosa, CO, Susan Elizabeth Hill and husband, Michael, Marshfield, and Edward Chapman Grigsby and wife Danae, Dayton, MD; her sister, Sandra Bloodworth, Bastrop, TX; nine grandchildren, Rachel Bowman, Jessica Grigsby-Hyena, James Aaron Grigsby, Jason Grigsby, Amber Luchsinger, Erica Luchsinger-Saxer, Ariel Luchsinger, Lydia Grigsby, and Elise Grigsby; and eight great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jaxson, Mason, Evan, Ashlyn, Kyler, Alanah, and Gus.

Cremation is entrusted to the care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. No services are planned at this time.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a local animal shelter in her honor.
