Helen L. Huffman
Helen Louise Huffman, 89, of Washington, IL passed away at 11:45 pm Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Born on September 14, 1931 in Conway, MO to Clyde and Zella Gann Graves, she married Donald R. Huffman on July 21, 1953 in Hot Springs, AR. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2012.
Surviving are 4 children; Donald Mark (Diana) Huffman of Conway, MO, Victoria Louise Huffman of Washington, IL, Lisa Michelle (Glenn) Lee of Germantown Hills, IL and Matthew Reed Huffman of Washington, IL, 7 grandchildren; Rick (Tina) Huffman, Amy (Keith) Hartoebben, D.R. (Holly) Huffman, Marisa (Reed) Huffman, Zachary Lee, John Connor Lee, and Hayden Lee, 8 great-grandchildren; Tyler, Austin, Shaylee, Kade, Mason, Alexis, Luke and Levi (whom she lovingly called Blue Jeans when she couldn’t remember his name), 8 great-great-grandchildren; Landon, Paisley, Lakely, Tynlee, Westin, Beau, Oaklyn, and Kynnedy; and 1 brother; Charles Graves of Strafford, MO. She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Betty Lee Andrews.
Helen was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was very bold in expressing her faith in Jesus and it was on that foundation that she raised her family and built friendships that have lasted over 60 years (and you know who you are). She was devoted to her family, always there to help or pray with anyone that had a need. She knew that God is good and that he has a plan for all of our lives. God intended our hearts to be shared through the course of life, passed out, lovingly piece by piece until being rewarded with our eternal home. She was an unforgettable presence in all of our lives that will be greatly missed. We will continue to walk in her steps so her presence will live on. We loved her beyond measure.
Due to Covid-19, a private graveside service will be held at St. Luke Cemetery in Conway, MO under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
