James David Haymes

James David Haymes, son of David and Kathy (Krulish) Haymes, was born in Springfield, Missouri, on August 15, 1971, and passed away at his home in Buffalo, on October 31, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends.

James grew up in the Marshfield area and attended Marshfield High School. He was baptized and raised in the St. Luke’s Methodist Church. In 1993, James met Robin Brauch, for Robin it was love at first sight. Seven months later, during the flood of ‘93, on September 25th, they were married in St. Luke’s Methodist Church. During those 31 years James loved to spoil Robin. When Robin had her cancer, he was so gentle with her.  He had the heart of a Teddy Bear, was a Hellova dad and an excellent papa.

James worked and owned his own concrete business, James Haymes Concrete, which was perfect for him since “he was concrete tough.” James also followed in his grandpa’s and his dad’s honorable service as a Mason and Shriner, which he thoroughly enjoyed.  He always did things with his own way attitude.

James loved to fish for crappie, run a trotline and noodling for catfish, and after they were caught, he was a master at frying them. He loved spending time with his lake family, and camping with them. He also enjoyed going deer and coon hunting.

He is survived by his wife Robin of the home, his sons: Michael (Amy) Lewis, of Buffalo, MO and Justin (Jessica) Lewis, of Wheatland, MO, six grandkids: Hailey, McKenzie, Jimmy, Charlie, Jonathan, and Kyle. Brothers and sisters: Chris (Paulette) Haymes, of Conway, MO, Laurie (Paul) Watts, of Bella Vista, AR, Beth (Jamie) Renner, of Conway, MO and Robert (Kelly) Haymes, of Conway, MO. He is also survived by several friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 P.M. on Monday, November 4, 2024, in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, 1131, State Hwy A, Marshfield, Missouri.  There will be a Masonic Service at 1:30 PM.
