James Dillon Masters
James Dillon Masters, Eldon, MO, was born September 13, 1923 in Strafford, MO to Alex and Tinna (Young) Masters. He departed this life on Friday, May 11, 2018 in his home at the age of 94 years.
James worked for the railroad many years, and worked timber until his retirement at the age of 79. He was a member of Gravois Mills Baptist Church. He was united in marriage to Georgia Mae Bryant on November 2, 1951, a union that lasted until the time she preceded him in death on March 12, 2013.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Georgia Mae (Bryant) Masters; his son, Allen Dale Masters; his granddaughter, April Masters; his grandson, Zane Blair; a brother, Ted Masters; and two sisters, Pat Cross and Wanda Wayman.
Survivors include eight children, Jerry Masters, Janet Clark and her husband, Joe, Donna Shewmaker and her husband, Roger, Deby McDaniel and her husband, Kenny, all of Versailles, Marsha Scheulen and her husband, Leonard, Eldon, Melinda Chapman and her husband, PJ, Versailles, Gary Masters and his wife, Cindy, Laurie, and Mike Masters and his wife, Angel, Eldon; his brothers Hubert Masters and his wife, Mabel, Niangua, and Dennie Masters, Marshfield; his sister, Elsie Myers, Marshfield; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services for James Masters will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Welch Cemetery, Northview, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
