J.C. Young
JC YOUNG, son of Charlie and Opal (Dalton) Young was born in Marshfield, Missouri on October 13, 1945 and passed away in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri on October 30, 2020, at the age of 75.
He was united in marriage with Jacqueline “Jackie” Milford. Jackie preceded him in death on July 30, 2013. On August 15, 2015, JC was united in marriage with Rachel (Yoder) Scott.
For several years JC worked for Marshfield Steel. Later he became a CNA and worked for Webco Manor as well as Strafford Care Center. During his free time JC loved country music and you would find him playing with the Webster County Hillbilly Band, in which he loved to entertain the residents at the care centers or anyone who would like to just sit back and hear them play. He also raised rabbits and chickens, and he always had a thriving garden. He could grow huge turnips, he has grown a pumpkin weighing in over 300 pounds and some of the best tomatoes Webster County could produce. You could find him often selling his vegetables in the Orscheln’s parking lot to the community.
JC and Rachel enjoyed keeping busy together and would cut wood for other people and found great satisfaction in doing what they could to help others. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel, of the home; five children: Paul, of Kansas City, Missouri, Aaron, of Nixa, Chris, of Marshfield, Jeff Young and his wife Crystal, of Marshfield and Amanda Genetti and her husband Jimmy, of Marshfield; four step-children: Roy Scott, Jr, and his wife Cindy, of Marshfield, Ruth Ann Aiken, and her husband David of Springfield, Mary Lou Johns, Marshfield, and Sindy Fagan and her husband Les, of Springfield; three brothers and four sisters: James and his wife Artis, of Niangua, Rickie and his wife Jean, of Niangua, and Nickie Young and his wife Crystal, of Niangua, Daisy Moss and her husband Bob, of Lebanon, Marjorie Schloetzer and her husband Vernon, of Kansas City, Kansas, Barbara Dinwiddie and her husband David, of Marshfield and Opal Lucille Hightower and her husband Robert, of Blue Springs, Missouri; three grandchildren: Wyatt Young, Chase Young and Ashley Young; four stepgrandchildren: J.D. Genetti, Cierrah Genetti, Blake West, and Isaac West. JC was also preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Dugan; three brothers: Bill, Charles Ivan and Kenneth Young; and one grand-daughter, Patricia Young.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 4, 2020 in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, 1131 State Hwy A, Marshfield, Missouri 65706, with interment following in Ebenezer Cemetery. Friends my pay their respects on Tuesday from 1 PM until 7 PM at the funeral home.
For those desiring, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and donations may be left with the funeral home.
