Jo Natalee Lea
Jo Natalee Lea was born July 26, 1922 to Grant Cecil and Alva Pearl (Young) Leffler in Stockton, Missouri and passed away on December 3, 2019 at Westphalia Hills in Westphalia, Missouri.
Jo was a graduate of Burge School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse. On August 4, 1945, Robert Lea and Jo Leffler were united in marriage in Fordland, Missouri. Robert and Jo made their home in Marshfield until 1968 when they moved to Bolivar. They returned to Marshfield in 1974 and purchased the Kim Davidson Insurance Agency where they worked side by side until their retirement. Robert and Jo shared nearly fifty-two years of happiness together.
Jo was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and a devout member of Marshfield Christian Church. She took special care of Robert for many years after he suffered a debilitating stroke. She lived the perfect example for her family and instilled in them the love of life. Jo was an avid reader of books and newspapers and was well versed in current events. She was an enthusiastic sports fan especially the Missouri State Lady Bears basketball team. Jo took pride in her flowers and cutting her grass. A group of friends played golf, bridge, chicken foot dominoes weekly. Jo loved to play cards and board games with her grandkids.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert Lea, brothers Maurice, Gwendolyn and Glen Leffler and sisters Peggy Jean Leffler and LaMoyne Deon. She is survived by two sons and their wives, David and Glenda (Springfield) and Jim and Kathy (Eugene), seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Jo will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, with interment following at Fordland Cemetery. Visitation will be before services from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions may be made to the Marshfield Christian Church or Cox College and left in care of Fraker Funeral Home, P. O. Box 85, Marshfield, MO 65706.
