Joseph Roy Colten

Joseph Roy Colten, Marshfield, MO was born August 28, 1954 in Orange, CA to Joseph and Dora Colten. He departed this life on Friday, April 6, 2018 after a long battle with cancer in his home near Marshfield at the age of 63.

He was a tile worker, and served in the Vietnam War in the 82nd Airborne. Roy loved animals and being around people.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and his brother, Jack Colten.

Roy is survived by his wife, Kathleen Detherow-Colten of the home; two stepsons, Donnie Mason, Jr., and Jesse Lee Baedke, both of Marshfield; siblings Eugene Colten, Gainsville, TX, Beth Smith, Enid, OK, Christie Collins, Enid OK, and Dora DiGiacinto, state of OK; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Marshfield Cemetery, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation will be from 6-7 Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in Fraker Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help defray funeral costs.
