Karen Henderson
KAREN LOUISE HENDERSON, daughter of Ross and Ruth (Holden) Boggess, was born on May 25, 1941 in Springfield, MO. She passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 4:26 PM, in Mercy Hospital – Springfield, at the age of 77.
In January 1959, Karen was united in marriage with John Henderson, who preceded her in death on August 14, 2000.
Karen was a wonderful mother to her children. She enjoyed cooking for her family, biscuits and gravy, chili, sweet potatoes and goulash were among the many dishes her children remember well. She also loved to work on embroidery and Sudoku puzzles and watch the news as she rocked the time away. Above all, she took the time to listen to her children and grandchildren. Her grandkids were her delight and in her eyes, they were always right! She loved to laugh with them, creating memories that will last forever.
Karen was a Christian. She was saved at a revival at Black Oak and attended the Assembly of God Church. She was kind and tender-hearted. She would give whatever she had to help others.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Della (Dusty) Cruise, of Marshfield, Diana (Jason) Sharp, of Ozark and Debra Robinson (Dennis Colburn), of Marshfield; five grandchildren, Tiffany (Dave) Coryell, Ryan Robinson, Sarah (Luke) Walker, Jacob (Jennifer) Sharp and Lauren (Brett) Richardson; and four great-grandchildren, Kail Robinson, Brigden Coryell, Livianah Coryell, and Ashlyn Coryell. She is also survived by her cat, Patches.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in the Marshfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 at Fraker Funeral Home, 1131 Hwy A, Marshfield.
