Lawrence “Larry” Albert Rohr, Marshfield, was born December 29, 1936 in Bellview, OH, to Albert and Doris (Walborn) Rohr. He departed this life on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in his home at the age of 81.

Larry attended Baptist Bible College, where he received a Bachelugy of Theology. His honorary degrees included Doctor of Divinity, Citizen of Belo Horizonte, and Board Member of American Graded School of Belo Horizonte. He served eight years as Vice President of American Graded School of Belo Horizonte. He pastored First Baptist Church of Pleasonton, KS, for two years, where Sunday school attendance was increased from 30 to 86. Three Sunday school classrooms were built and paid for. A paved parking lot was put in, and parsonage was remodeled. In 1958, Larry was approved for the mission field, arriving in Brasil November 19, 1960. During his ministries, he started five churches, two bible colleges in Belo Horizonte and Rio de Jeneiro, and a total church retreat. His printing ministry included Baptist Bible Tribune, Sunday School Lessons, D.V.B.S. Lessons, Bible College Study, Notes and Materials, Tracts, and Ladies Newsletter. He served with his wife for fifty years in Belo Horizonte.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Lavon (Weems) Rohr; his parents; his brother, Marvin Eugene Rohr; and his son-in-law, Tim Dahmen.

He is surveved by his children, David Jonathan Rohr and Carla, Dana Jo Mikkelsen and Gary, Daniel Timothy Rohr and Katheryn, and Darla Lee Dahmen; grandchildren, Jessica, Bubba, Christopher, Betsy, J.J., Joshua, Emilie, Curtis, Christie, Jonathan, Niel, and Tyler; his great-grandson, Lucas; his brother, Richard Johnson; and sisters, Leann Zolciak and Sally McCann.

Funeral services for Lawrence Rohr will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, with interment in Carl Junction Cemetery.
