Clifford Clarence Lawson
CLIFFORD CLARENCE EUGENE “RABBIT” LAWSON, Marshfield, was born April 27, 1931 in Meta, MO to Owen and Lucy (Humphrey) Lawson. He departed his life Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the age of 90.
Clifford was married to Ruth for almost 67 years, after dating for five years. He was a hardworking man and worked for the Frisco from June 25, 1951 to June 12, 1992. From June 1951 to July 1968 he built wooden bridges then went on to building steel bridges. In 1968 Clifford then started in the Frisco Shops as a black smith welder in Springfield, MO.
In 1986, he started work at the Havelock Shop in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he later retired in 1992.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen Lawson and Lucy (Humphrey) Lawson; his wife, Ruth (French) Lawson; daughter Joyce Jameson; granddaughter, Stephani Jameson; four brothers: Windorth, Blufford, Roy and Louie; and three sisters: Laura Ellen, Wilma and Flora Mae.
Clifford is survived by his children: Joan Rowland, Randy Lawson and wife Sandy, Kerri Hanson and husband, Jim, and Kim Davis and husband, Joey, all of Marshfield. His grandchildren: Mandy Williams, Amy Troyer, Kate Hastings, Dale Rowland, Kelly Greenwood, Ashley Lawson Steele, Erica Russell, Bethany Lawson, Lacey Cantrell, Garrett Fletchall, Gabe Fletchall, Gavin Fletchall, Coy Davis and Hayden Davis. Great-Grandchildren: Bailey Alexander, Clara Troyer, Lilly Troyer, Emily Pittman, Doug Jackson, Courtney Lampert, Justin Greenwood, Gracie Steele, Leah Russell, Cash Cantrell, Presley Cantrell, Judd Cantrell; Great-Great-Grandchildren: Braedon Alexander, Jasper Jackson, Cole Linder, Ethan Pittman, Taylor Pittman, Mason Lampert, and Emma Lampert.
He loved and cherished his kids and grandkids. Family time was something of great value, as well as, making sure the family was always taken care of. Clifford loved raising livestock and was an avid outdoorsman who really enjoyed hunting, fishing and horseback riding.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., 1131 State Hwy A, Marshfield, Missouri, with interment following in St. Luke Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home Friday, September 24, from 6-7 p.m.
