Leonard Harlan Moffett, Marshfield, was born November 24, 1944 in Columbia, MO to Harlan and Leota (Singleton) Moffett. He departed this life on April 12, 2019 in Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

Leonard worked for the State of Missouri prison system as a guard in charge of the housing unit. He served in the Navy on the SS Sylvania during the Vietnam war, then in the Army Reserve. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Jefferson City, MO, and of American Legion Post 558 of Malta Bend. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, the St. Louis Cardinals, and anything outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Alice Moffett.

He is survived by his children, Patsy Heusted (William), Marshall, Angie Kramm, Salem, Tammy LaRue, Stover, and Shelly Gardner (Danny), Marshfield; siblings Leslie Moffett (Juliene) South Padre Island, TX, and Linda Britt (Jerry), Pawnee, OK; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2019 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
