Leray Keeler

Jerry Leray Keeler, son of W. J. “Bill” Keeler and Fern (Blazor) Keeler, was born November 16, 1938 in Marshfield, MO. He passed away at 3:26 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 79.

As a young teen he was led to the Lord by Pastor Paul Hannah and was a longtime member of the Temple Baptist Church in Marshfield. He was a lifetime farmer and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends.

Leray had a quiet pride in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They all dearly loved their Papa Leray! His quick sense of humor endeared him to many people and he loved visiting and making new friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kenneth Keeler; two brothers-in-law, Burl Young and Tommy Burnett; and a granddaughter, Melody Lampe.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Dianne; two sisters, Melba Young, Marshfield, and Joan Keeler, Springfield; one brother and his wife, Bobby and Betty Keeler, Marshfield; one son and his wife, Doren and Lisa Keeler, Marshfield; three daughters and their husbands, Renee and Fred Lampe, Marshfield, Janeen and Rodney Haggett, Marshall, MO, and Lynn and Mark Hannah, Edmond, OK; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018 in the Temple Baptist Church, Marshfield. Interment will follow in the Marshfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Inc, Marshfield.
