Mike Burmeister, Niangua, MO, was born April 19, 1955 in St. Louis, MO to Edward and Mary Ann Burmeister. He departed this life on Sunday, October 21, 2018 in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 63.

Mike worked as a printer for over 30 years at St. Louis Envelope Company. His hobbies and collections included anything train related, and he was a member of the Katy Railroad Historical Society. He was an engineer for Chain of Rocks Railroad.  Another favorite collection for him was lamps and lanterns. He had the nickname “Mr. Patter” and won a turkey from Bob Evans restaurant for how the name got started.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Edward Burmeister.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Landwehr Burmeister, of the home; his mother, Mary Ann Burmeister; his cousins, Jamey Petty (Angel), Niangua, MO, Tim Petty (Trisha), Niangua, and Sam Petty (Christina), Marshfield; his friend, Don Lee, Marshfield; and his honorary grandchildren, Allie, Bryson, Julie, Mily, Riley, and Gabby.

Funeral services for Mike Burmeister will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2018 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, with interment following in Marshfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2018 in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Niangua Fire Department and First Responders.
