Ellis Newton Nichols

Ellis Newton Nichols, Marshfield, was born November 6, 1923, in Hartville, MO to Foster and Ocie (Ellis) Nichols. He departed this life on August 16, 2023, at Webco Manor, Marshfield, at the age of 99.

Ellis had served in the United States Navy during World War II. He had worked as a carpenter for Jimmy Myers and Jackson Construction. He had attended church at Cass Chapel and Born Again Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Helen Nichols; second wife, Virginia Nichols; his daughter, Sheila Green; grandson, Eric Nichols; brother, Charley Nichols; and sisters, Undean Nichols and Hazel Young.

Ellis is survived by two sons, Wayne Nichols, Lebanon, and Stanley “Buck” Nichols and wife Lynda, Marshfield; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several other relatives.

Graveside services for Ellis Nichols will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2023, in Marshfield Cemetery, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
