Richard Homer Ragsdale
Richard Homer Ragsdale, Springfield, was born July 21, 1957 to Homer and Betty (Rose) Ragsdale. He departed this life on May 22, 2021 in his home at the age of 63.
Richard worked at Southern Missouri Containers. He was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church. He loved fishing, hunting and used to be a bull rider. Richard loved to grill, and collected Hot Wheels. The most important thing in his life was his beloved family.
Richard is survived by his wife, Deanna (Hutchinson) Ragsdale; his children, Crystal Adkins (Kevin Englebright), Frontenac, KS, Brandy Adkins, Springfield, Carlos Meza (Kirsten), Colorado Springs, CO, Fernando Meza (Makayla), FL, Esperonza Meza, Springfield, and Alejandro Ragsdale, Springfield; his siblings, Sherry Brown (William), Niangua, and Barb Ghys, Marshfield; his mother, Betty Ragsdale, Marshfield; fifteen grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Ragsdale; his daughter, Rachel Adkins; brother-in-law, Bernie Ghys; and his nephew, Robert Rippee.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2021 in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., with burial following in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, May 27 in the funeral home.
