Mary Frances Rhodes

Mary Frances Rhodes, Strafford, was born February 18, 1927, to Garland and Leora (Woodrome) Harrison in Strafford, Missouri. She departed this life August 10, 2024 at the age of 97 years.

When Mary was younger, she was the secretary for the Springfield Chamber of Commerce. She later was united in marriage on July 1, 1949, to William Calvin Rhodes, and off to the farm life she went. She enjoyed life on the farm dearly. She loved crocheting, embroidering, crossword puzzles and watching western movies.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Rhodes; her daughter, Betty; her brother, Loren; and her sister, Loretta.

Mary is survived by two children, George Rhodes (Carol) of Marshfield, and John Rhodes (Mary) of Strafford; her son-in-law, Carter Baethke of Iowa; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Mary will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., in Marshfield Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
