Roy E. Jumps, Jr.

Roy E. Jumps, Jr. was born January 28, 1924 in Mounds City, MO to Roy E. and Margaret (Officer) Jumps. He passed away on August 3, 2017.

After Roy graduated high school, he started driving a truck out of Mound City, MO. He drove a truck or farmed for most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Luella (Copeland) Jumps, Fair Play, MO; three children, Tom Jumps, Kansas City, MO, Don Jumps and his wife, Pam, Savannah, MO, and Janice Dougherty and her husband, Dan, Craig, MO; his stepchildren, Stephen Collins, Marshfield, MO, Susan Mattox and her husband, Jim, Ash Grove, MO, and Sherry Bell and her husband, Roger, Broken Arrow, OK; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In honor of his wishes, he is to be cremated with graveside services at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Shady Grove Cemetery in Fair Play, MO. Services will be under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aldrich United Methodist Church in Aldrich, MO, or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
