Ruth Irene King

Ruth Irene (Hurt) King was born April 13, 1930 in Marshfield, MO to Alvie and Cora Mae (Bohannon) Hurt. She departed this life on Sunday, May 27, 2018 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO at the age of 88.

Ruth cherished her family.  Her love was unconditional.  She was a beautiful woman who was both patient and kind.   To those who knew her, she will always be remembered for her bright smile and sweet disposition.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard King; her sisters, Erva Hurst and Geneva Cooley; and her brother, Eugene Hurt.

Ruth is survived by her children, Christine Enwright and Richard, Quincy, MA, Randy King and Sheila, Wichita, KS, and Darryl King, Wichita, KS; a sister, Georgia Slover, Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Miranda Bega and Jeremy, Wichita, KS, Carla Schuder, Columbus, OH, Jill Sbordone and Alex, Waltham, WA; and great-grandchildren Cullen Schuder, Haley Bega, Riley Bega, A.J. Sbordone, Stella Sbordone, Scarlett Sbordone, and Declan Sbordone.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, MO, with interment following in Graceland Cemetery, Conway, MO. Visitation will be before the funeral from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Toys for Tots or the Humane Society.
