Dollena Rean "Dolly" Seitz

Dollena “Dolly” Rean (Dinwiddie) Seitz, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Nevada, Missouri, on Thursday morning, April 24, 2025, at the age of 76. She was born on November 3, 1948, in Elkland, Missouri, to William Welvin and Mary Louise (Kinkade) Dinwiddie.

Dolly devoted her life caring for others. She began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and, through years of hard work, rose to become a department head in a skilled nursing home facility. Her compassion and commitment left a lasting impact on the lives of many she served and worked alongside.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale Seitz, in 1990; her son, Jack Seitz, in 2020; three brothers—William Lee, Kenneth, and Edgar Dinwiddie—and two sisters, Mary Hoskins and Willa Irene Dinwiddie.

Dolly leaves behind a loving family: her daughter, Christy VanGaasbeek and husband Chad of Overland Park, KS; her sons, Welvin Dale Seitz of Nevada, MO, and Billy Seitz and wife Jill of Lancaster, PA; five grandchildren, Ashton, Ellie, Noel, Gabe and Blakely, who brought her so much joy; four sisters—Linda Jones of Marshfield, MO; Nadine Bunch and Teresa Bunch, both of Elkland, MO; and Barbara Evans of Lebanon, MO; one brother, Karl Dinwiddie of Elkland, MO; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17th at Fraker Funeral Home in Marshfield, MO, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, Dolly will be laid to rest at Eureka Cemetery in Rader, MO.
