Eugene "Gene" Smith

Eugene Joseph “Gene” Smith, Marshfield, was born on April 7, 1956. He departed this life on March 20, 2025, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 68.

Gene had worked as a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his nephew, Christopher Schwanke.

Gene is survived by his wife, Vickie (Letterman) Smith, of the home; his sister, Darlene Mahoney, Tucson, AZ; his brother, Stephen Smith; his mother-in-law, Beverly Letterman of Marshfield; and many other family and friends.

Services are pending and will be announced by Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.
