Steven Lee Young
Steven Lee Young, Marshfield, was born March 26, 1953 in Marshfield, MO to Roy and Verlee (Barton) Young. He departed this life on Monday, February 25, 2019 in his home at the age of 65.
Steven served in the United States Navy. He worked for 28 years at the Ozarks Correctional Facility in Fordland. He had many hobbies he enjoyed, such as karaoke and dancing, gardening, and shooting guns. He also enjoyed watching westerns and paining ceramics. Above all else, he was a loving father and grandfather, a man devoted to his entire family. He was always caring for others above himself. He was a friend to everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Roy Gene Young.
Steven is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Young, Marshfield, and Tabaitha Young, Elkland; his siblings, Wayne Young, Willard, Connie Lillard, Springfield, James Young, Marshfield, Debbie Kincannon, Fordland, Bobby Young, Marshfield, Raymond Barton, Fordland, Mark Braie, Lead Hill, AR, Theresa Garcia, Battlefield, and Richard Atkinson, Strafford; two grandchildren, Lucien Young and Tristan Clement, both of Marshfield; his best friend, Tammy Brann, Elkland; dear friend, Pamela Brann, Marshfield; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services with military honors, will be held at 6:00 PM., Thursday, March 7, 2019, in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, 1131 State Hwy A, Marshfield, Missouri, with burial following at a later date in the Welch Cemetery. At Mr. Young’s request, he was cremated by Fraker Funeral Home and then have his life celebrated. Join his family to honor that request.
