Virgil M. Dennis
Virgil Markum Dennis, Elkland, was born October 16, 1961 in Springfield, MO to James and Artie (Robinson) Dennis. He departed this life on September 21, 2021 in his home at the age of 59.
Virgil was a sports fan, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed shooting pool, hunting and fishing, as well as watching NASCAR. He loved diners, drive ins, and dives. He was talented cooking barbecue, and had a food truck in Elkland, Mom-Mas Pride. Virgil had worked as a welder for Trinity Railroad. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Lebanon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Kathy Chandler; and his niece, Kayla Dennis.
Virgil is survived by his children, Virgil Brandon Dennis (Katie West), Nixa, and Ashley Nichole Dennis (Zeb Marlay), Springfield; his siblings, James Rick Robinson, Lebanon, Kevin Chris Dennis (Cindy Kaderly), Elkland, and Tameria Elizabeth Honeycutt (Bruce), Lebanon; and six grandchildren, Kylie Williams, Kynzi Williams, Korbin Dennis, Sydney Marlay, Avery Marlay, and Zane Marlay.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
