Ramon "Tom" Wallace

 
 

Ramon Archie “Tom/Ray” Wallace, was born on June 7, 1936 in his home in Niangua, MO, to Dan and Grace (Snow) Wallace, and departed this life on December 8, 2024 in his home in Conway, MO, at the age of 88 years old.

Growing up Tom attended Warden Chapel Church where he was saved at an early age.

Tom attended Niangua School, where he graduated in 1955.

Shortly after graduating he went to California. While there, he was best known as “Ray.” He worked for John Morrell for 24 years.

Tom proudly served his country in the Air Force from 1958 to 1962.

In 1959 Tom married Sandra Wagner and was married until 1978. To this union he had two children, one son, Ray Allen and one daughter, Nadine Faye.

In 1990 Tom came back to Missouri, which is where he was best known as “Tom.” He worked for Wonder Bread for 8 years before retiring in 1998. Tom always loved fishing. He spent as many days as he could fishing with is brother-in-law, Jerry Dinwiddie, after retiring. Oh, the stories they could tell.

Tom was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs fan. He looked forward to listening or watching every game.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Grace Wallace, his brothers Richard and Roy Wallace, and his sister Velma Jane (Wallace) Dinwiddie.

Tom is survived by his two children, Ray Allen Wallace and Nadine Faye (Wallace) Benett, his brother-in-law Jerry Dinwiddie, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Tom was a wonderful friend and the best neighbor anyone could ask for. He will be greatly missed. Services will be announced at a later date by Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
