Wanda Lorene Watkins

Wanda Lorene Watkins, West Plains, was born November 15, 1962, to Clifford and Julie Mae (Birdsong) Upton in West Plains, MO. She departed this life October 8, 2022, in her daughter’s home at the age of 59.

Wanda was the owner of South Creek Puppies in South Fork Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; one sister; one granddaughter, Breanna.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Whitten (Terry Truster); three sons, David Bennett (Lindsey) of West Plains, MO, Dagan Preston of Humansville, MO, Braxton Myers of Lebanon, MO; one brother, Michael Upton (Beth) of Washington; her sister, Diane Workman (Jerry) of West Plains, MO; her former husband, Rodney Bennett of Elkton, MO; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service with a pot luck will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at West Plains Civic Center, East Entrance, in Dogwood Room 1. The address is 110 St. Louis St. West Plains, MO 65775.

Cremation is entrusted to the care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
