Homer West

Homer West, Fordland, was born on August 19, 1933, in Northview, MO, to Elmer and Lena (Young) West. He departed this life on June 13, 2025, in his home at the age of 91.

Homer was a dairy farmer. He worked at Sportsman in Rogersville for 23 years before retiring. He loved fishing, old trucks, and scratching lottery tickets.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Helen (Willis) West; five brothers, Eddie West, Jack West, David West, Leroy West, and Wayne West.

Homer is survived by his son, Terry West and wife Jennifer, of Fordland; four grandchildren, Kathryn Pranter and husband Alex, Cassidy West, Wyatt West, and James West; adopted grandson, Chris York; three great-grandchildren, Allie West, Lydia Pranter, and Dean Pranter; as well as several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Homer West will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, with interment following in Welch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday, June 20, in the funeral home.
