Dorothy R. Alexander

 
 

Dorothy Rosella Alexander, born to William Emmons and Cora Payne, near Niangua, Missouri on November 12, 1924. She passed away August 27, 2023 in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 98 years, 9 months, and 15 days.

        She received her elementary education at Mathis School and graduated from Niangua High School in 1943. At the age of 14 she joined New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.

        On April 24, 1943 she married Charles (Tim) Alexander in Kearney, Nebraska just before he was shipped to England during WWII. After Tim returned from the war, they made their home in Springfield, Missouri and started their family.

        Her greatest joy was attending church and being a   mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a great-great grandmother.

        Survivors include, her children Karen Kimbrough, husband James, Kyle Alexander, wife Linda, Kalene Reeves, husband Mike; grandchildren, Shannon Kimbrough, wife Lisa, Phillip Kimbrough, Matthew Kimbrough, wife Karen Renea, Barrett Alexander, wife Alizabeth, Bradley Alexander, Brice Alexander, wife Paige, Sharlyn Doss, husband Dennis, Shea Weeks, husband Joseph, Sherra Holstine, husband Derek; great grandchildren; Logan, Erin, Keldon, Brock,   Allison, Brendon, Lauren, Trenton, Turner, Maddyson,   Braxtin, Colt, Kinlee, Grace, Macie, Dixie, Jaelyn, Emmitt, Brynlee and Dallas; great-great grandchildren, Carsyn, Lainey, Hunter, and Langston and a host of nieces and nephews.

        She is preceded in death by her husband Tim; granddaughter-in-law, Amy Kimbrough; one sister and brother-in-law, Grada and Gay Alexander; one brother and sister-in-law, Earl & Dixie Payne; two infant sisters, Ercie and Vera.

Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023 in Mathis Cemetery, Niangua, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
