Robert Ballard
Robert L. Ballard passed away unexpectedly on May 17th, 2021 at the age of 57.
Robert is survived by his parents, Larry Ballard and Lena Ballard; Loving partner, Paula Doolittle; Daughter, Elora Ballard; Daughter, Brittany Ballard; Stepson, Brandon Thomas; Brother, Donnie Ballard; Brother, Jeff Ballard; Brother, Mike Ballard; Sister, Ammie Scott; Grandson, Skyler Thomas; Granddaughter, Harper Mihlfeld; Grandson, Denver Thomas; Granddaughter, Lainee Doolittle; Grandson, Daxon Pender; Grandson, Jaiden Johnson. Robert is preceded in death by his wife Tiffany Ballard and stepson Collin Bettis.
Robert was born on December 9th, 1963 in Monett, MO to Larry and Lena Ballard. He graduated from Pleasant Hope High School in 1982. He was a successful business owner and highly skilled painter for over 40 years.
Robert was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, cousin, and friend to many. He was an amazing basketball player in his “prime”. He loved camping and floating. He loved any beach, Jimmy Buffett, and thoroughly enjoyed all vacations. From Halloween parties to baking Christmas cookies, birthdays, and family dinner nights, he always put those he loved first. He fell in love with the game of golf and recently beat Pender. Time spent with Paula, children, grandchildren, family, and friends was when he was the happiest. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
A visitation will be held Thursday, May 20th from 6-8pm at Greenlawn East Funeral Home in Springfield, MO. A funeral is scheduled for Friday, May 21st at 2pm, also at Greenlawn East Funeral Home in Springfield, MO. A celebration of Robert’s life will follow at 860 E. Edenmore Cir Nixa, MO 65714.
