Don Cox and Carolyn Cox
Carl Donald Cox was born June 1, 1935 in Birmingham, AL to Carl L. Cox and Flora Pearl (McBride) Cox. He departed this life on May 18, 2021 in his home at the age of 85.
Carolyn Sue Cox, was born November 13, 1938 in La Habra, CA to William and Rosa Mae (Manning) Waugh. She departed this life June 12, 2012 in the Webco Manor in Marshfield.
Don was a United States Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He also had a long career in law enforcement and worked with McFadin Storage after moving to Marshfield.
Don and Sue were united in marriage on April 15, 1956 in LaHabra, CA. Don and Sue are both preceded in death by their parents; Don’s brother Lee Cox.
Survivors include their daughter, Julie Drake, Marshfield; two grandchildren, Amanda Burris (Josh) and Cara Lawson, both of Marshfield; eight grandchildren, Anthony Macrelli, Vincent Macrelli, Gabriel Burris, Sarah Burris, Caden Morris, Kensley Lawson, Paige Lawson and Aubrey Lawson; Don’s brother James Cox; Don’s sister, Mary Bond (Kenny); and Sue’s brother, William Waugh, Jr. (Susan).
Graveside services for Don and Carolyn will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 in Haymes Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
