BARBARA JEAN McCORMICK, 82 of Goodson, formerly of Strafford, was born on September 27, 1940 in Hanford, California, the daughter of Troy and Alma (Goreham) Reeves and passed away on February 4, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family.

On November 9, 1972, she was united in marriage with Joe McCormick and they spent fifty wonderful years together.

Barbara was a wonderful example of being a Christian wife, mother, grandmother sister and friend.  She was a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church.

For many years she worked in the health care field, taking care of others.  During her free time she loved to spoil her family!  Barbara also enjoyed cross stitch, camping and scrapping.  She was a member of the Marshfield Happy Scrappers, at the Marshfield VFW.  But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and they, in turn, loved spending their time with her.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Joe, of the home; her children: Reva Valencia, of Phoenix, AZ, Nola Reyher, of Marshfield, Joseph McCormick (Robin), of Goodson; step children: Kim O’Connor (Marc), of Stalham Norfolk, England, and David McCormick (Anna), of South End on Sea, England; her sister: Gail Mitchell (Paul), of Benton, TN; half-brother: Robert Johnson, of California; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; nine cats and one dog.  She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, one sister: Rita Bobb and her half brother Michael Johnson.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 8, 2023, in the Chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, 1131 State Hwy A., (P.O. Box 85) Marshfield, MO 65706 with interment following in Timber Ridge Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6-7 P.M., Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the funeral home.

For those desiring, memorials may be made to the family and may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
