Eula Jean Blair
Eula Jean (Covel) Blair was born May 22, 1931 to Benjamin Covel and Eva Lappham Covel in Marienville, Pennsylvania. She passed away on August 10, 2021 at the age of 90 to be with her Lord.
Eula Jean attended Marienville High School and Hamot Hospital Nursing School. After graduating, she met Robert Blair from Connelsville, Pa. They married on September 29, 1951 at Oil City, Pa. Eula Jean Blair worked at home for many years, and after three daughters and a son, she began her work career with several companies as a licensed nurse, working with elderly in hospice work.
Robert Blair passed away On September 13, 1996. She remarried Edward Heasley and for over 20 years spent their lives together in Bradford, Pennsylvania. Edward passed away four years ago and Eula Jean moved to Missouri to live with her oldest daughter Linda Christian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Heasley, three brothers, Harry “Stub” Covel, Bud Covel, and Ray Covel.
She is survived by her sister, Norma Deam of Erie, Pennsylvania, and her four children, Linda Christian of Marshfield, MO, Barbara Rosenberger and husband Richard of Lake Villa, Illinois, Robert Steven Blair of Fordland, MO, and Bette Herring and husband Dale of McLeansville, NC, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration service is being arranged soon at Born Again Church, Marshfield, MO and will be announced by Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
Known over the last few years by many as “Grandma Jean,” she will be greatly missed.
