Billy George Canfield, Doniphan, MO, was born November 30, 1941 in Charmco, WV, to Earl and Ruth (Fugate) Canfield. He departed this life on April 1, 2023, in the Strafford Care Center at age 81.

Billy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a woodworker who was able to fix anything. Billy was a Godly man who attended the Church of God, and was very committed to his family. He tended to his wife’s health and care after she had a stroke. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to travel. Billy was a fan of the television show Gunsmoke. He had been a racecar driver with Wally Baker. Billy had worked as a team truck driver with his wife.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law, Randy Hipp, and stepson Tim Broughton.

Billy is survived by his beloved wife, Jan (Finch) Canfield, Doniphan; his children, Marcie Whitlow and husband Dave, Marshfield and Tammi Salmon, Newcastle, CA; stepchildren,  Beverly Michaud, OR, Pat Michaud, OR, John Broughton, OR, and Matt Broughton, OR; his siblings, Jerry Canfield and wife Lynda, Auburn, CA, and Patricia Hipp, West Pueblo, CO; four grandchildren, Ron, Patrick, Raymond, and Sarah; his step-grandchild, Spencer; and nine great-grandchildren, Cyrrus, Kaelynn, Kallie, Braydon, Ashley, Logan, Riley, Bodie, and Ryder.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2023, in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., 1131 State Hwy. A, Marshfield, MO, 65706.
