Hannelore Smith
Hannelore Smith, Marshfield, was born August 23, 1934 in Wiesbaden, Germany, to Richard and Katharinna (Zchlenzig) Seibel. She passed away on April 2, 2023, in the Marshfield Care Center at the age of 88.
Hannelore loved painting and made many pictures that she gave away to her friends. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she would decorate every room in her home. Hannelore adored her dog, and loved all animals. She was proud of her German roots, but was also very proud to be an American citizen. Hannelore had worked as an assembly line worker for a food spice manufacturer. She was a Christian.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Truman Smith; her brother, Hans Seibel; and two sisters, Karin Smith and Monika Evans.
Hannelore is survived by her special daughter, Gayla Heape and husband Gary, Marshfield; her brother-in-law Melvin Smith and wife Judy, Jacksonville, AR; special grandkids, Heather Smith and husband Kevin, Webb City, MO, and Kara Heape, Marshfield; two special great-grandkids, Owen Heape and Ollie Smith; and special friend Diane Kennedy and husband Billy, Marshfield.
Special tribute goes out for the love expressed to Hannalore by the workers of the Marshfield Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2023, in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., with interment at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2023, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
