James Mac Case, Marshfield, was born July 29, 1936, to Willis and Ruby (Hoover) Case in Elkland, Missouri. He departed this life on March 6, 2025, in his home, surrounded by family at the age of 88 years.

Mac served in the United States Army Reserves, enlisting on September 22, 1957. He was discharged on March 21, 1968. He began attending Marshfield Christian Church in 1947, where he brought up his family. He married his bride, Karen (Davis) Case in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in 1959. In 1961, Mac opened Case Heating and Sheet Metal, which he owned, operated, and served the community for 56 years until his retirement in 2015. He also joined the Marshfield Optimist Club in 1962, proudly acting as a charter member. Mac was a family man and loved supporting his grandchildren through all their endeavors (including grandparents' nights, other honors, and especially through sporting events). Mac was a respected member of the community and was admired by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Ruby (Hoover) Case; his parents-in-law, Lowell and Vivian (Day) Davis; his sister, Paula Greer, and her husband Talt; his sister-in-law, Susan Case; and his brother-in-law, Rev. Bill Curwood.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Karen (Davis) Case of the home; his three daughters and sons-in-law: Lori and Tom Bloess of Springfield, Tina and Mike Loftus of Marshfield, Marta and Dale Fraker of Marshfield; his brother, Hoover Case of Marshfield; one sister, Rev. Linda Curwood of Lexington, Kentucky; his six grandchildren: Narissa and Drew Mohnen, Sara Jane and Brandon Rust, Rebekah Plemmons and Travis Cantrell, Chelsea Loftus and Ryan George, Kile Fraker and Bel Long, and Brad Loftus; his nine great-grandchildren: Mac, Molly, Lanie, Lakyn, Remi, Lyla, Tate, Stetson, and Hunter; and many other valued relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 10, 2025, at 11:05 a.m. ish, in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, Missouri. Visitation will be before services Monday morning at 10:00 a.m.

Interment with full military honors will be in Marshfield Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
