Clyde Cantrell

Clyde Cantrell, Marshfield, was born January 14, 1947 in Niangua, MO to Azzo and Bertice (McClure) Cantrell. He departed this life on June 2, 2022 in his home at the age of 75. He turned his life over to Christ February 18, 2014. Clyde was an active member of the Show-Me Cowboy Church.

Clyde graduated from Marshfield High School and then served in the United States Army as a Vietnam Vet. 

He worked for Burney Ready Mix, Clift Brothers Construction, I-44 Concrete, and Rost Ready Mix doing construction, concrete, management, and truck driving. He also had his own auto mechanic shop in Grovespring, MO. 

Clyde enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling, going to the lake, and camping. 

Clyde enjoyed being a papa. He liked taking them in the big truck and always letting them tag along to the coffee shop. He enjoyed playing trucks with Shown and Jeb, playing Kelsie’s Cafe and having his toenails painted by Ashlyn. Cash, Presley, Judd, Everleigh, and Ryker were always sitting in bed with papa eating, laughing, and carrying on. They also enjoyed riding around on the wheelchair with him and honking his horn. Clyde’s grandchildren lit up his world. 

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, and his great-grandson, Ryder.

He is survived by his wife, Pam (Dudley) Cantrell, of the home; his son, Shon Cantrell and Lacey, Marshfield; three daughters, Cindy Berry and Joseph, Marshfield, Christy Dinwiddie and Mac, Elkland, and Becky Tillman, Marshfield; eight grandchildren, Shown Cantrell, Jeb Cantrell, Cash Cantrell, Presley Cantrell, Judd Cantrell, Zack Booker, Kelsie Tillman and Ashlyn Tillman; and three great-grandchildren, Everleigh Cantrell, Ryker Cantrell, and Kyler Clift.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Interment with full military honors will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hartville. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
